The Beloved Brigade (444) and Its Commander in a Picture!
In the summer of 1462 AD, the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II, known as Mehmed the Conqueror, led his army to the city of Târgovişte in Romania because its ruler, Vlad III, refused to pay the agreed tribute. This occurred after a powerful king ascended the throne of nearby Hungary, Matthias, nicknamed the Raven. Vlad III wanted to transfer his allegiance from the Ottomans to the Hungarians, so he stopped paying the tribute, believing his new ally would save him. However, he soon found himself under house arrest after being betrayed by his own people and sought refuge with his (new) ally.
Everything has a formula, even humans have a formula they are formed by. So today, we will analyze together how to form a reinforced brigade with members who can fly and establish it as a disciplined entity that follows orders, especially given the fragile security situation Libyans have been experiencing for years. We will call this hypothetical brigade on which we base our formula Brigade (444)!
The official page of Brigade (444) published pictures showing the brigade’s commander with the (American) military attaché and his accompanying delegation. Mahmoud Hamza, the brigade commander, conducted a field introductory tour for the military delegation within the brigade, showcasing the brigade’s capabilities in terms of facilities. The foreign military delegation expressed their admiration for the brigade and the level of discipline of its members. The delegation also honored Brigade Commander Colonel Mahmoud Hamza with a medallion in the form of a shield, recognizing his efforts in managing this significant entity.
Never mind the fact that a military brigade claims to follow a military institution and has a verified Facebook page!
Let’s delve into more logical questions.
Does the General Staff know about this visit? Did they order the brigade commander to receive the delegation? If so, why didn’t they publish the news on their official page? If not, why isn’t the Brigade (444) commander being referred to for exceeding his authority and assuming a role that is the exclusive prerogative of the General Staff?
On the entire planet, there is only one entity representing the military institution, leading it in international and local forums, and signing any training agreements or others. No other entity is allowed to do so.
Additionally, on the entire planet, brigade commanders within armies are responsible for managing their brigades in technical and military aspects and executing tasks assigned to them by the central command at the level of operations, mobilization, military parades, or maneuvers that enhance soldiers’ readiness. That’s all they do!
It is a clear violation of military law and disciplined military hierarchy for a brigade commander to receive foreign military personnel, as this could, and we say could, lead to suspicions of dealing with a foreigner in a military capacity! This should lead to a military trial, preceded by an investigation by the military prosecutor.
If the General Staff in Tripoli was aware of this meeting and ordered it, they should be investigated for not adhering to their responsibilities and exposing the military institution to danger.
If they were unaware of this meeting, the military law requires them to immediately refer the Brigade (444) commander for investigation and suspend him from duty until the investigation is completed and results are obtained.
